Aero Contractors denied reports that the airline plans to reduce its workforce and shut down its operations, saying the allegations are “barbaric and unfounded.”
The allegations were filed at a press conference on Monday by the National Federation of Air Transport Employees (NUATE) and the Nigeria Air Transport Senior Staff Service Association (ATSSAN).
Aero Contractors said the two unions are always in a hurry to make sensitive information publicly available, and the current challenge in the aviation industry is not a liquidation plan, but an impact on its business. I explained.
According to a statement released on Monday, Aero Contractors said: Make it public and make it a matter of debate. “
Recall that Nigerian airlines were considering an option to shut down earlier this month because the cost of aviation fuel, known as Jet A1, rose from N190 to N700 per liter.

The company further states, “We are aware of the challenges we face, treat our expenses carefully and do our best to benefit our staff.
“Current management has decided to create four Strategic Business Units (SBUs) to increase efficiency and profitability.
“No Nigerian airline is free of insolvency caused by the operating environment. And while all the major airlines in the world have similar challenges, they have taken strategic steps to turn them around. I did.
“It’s a shame that the aviation industry operates with a small margin, and airlines are always trying to stay slimmer and smarter,” the statement reads.
Aero Contractors predicted that the fate of the company would change in the coming months. “We believe that the fate of airlines will improve as earnings begin to improve in the coming months following strategic engagement with potential partners.”
