CNBC host Jim Cramer says he has a strong belief in leading the digital assets Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), but investors risk buying them. It warns that it should not be.
According to a recent report by CNBC Make It, Cramer believes in BTC and ETH, but virtual assets are highly speculative and need to make up less than 5% of the trader’s portfolio, he says. He also warns against borrowing money to buy top crypto assets.
“I think crypto should be part of a diverse portfolio of people. I can’t tell you not to own crypto. I own crypto, I own Ethereum. I am. ”
According to Cramer, Bitcoin and Ethereum are the “most legitimate” cryptocurrencies on the market, but investors warn that they are still highly speculative assets that can lose value.
“It’s okay to own something speculative. [But] You must admit that it is speculative so that you are not in the Procter & Gamble class. Neither Coca-Cola nor Apple, but I propose and accept speculation. ”
Cramer also warns investors that they shouldn’t borrow money to buy crypto assets. Because they tend to show high price fluctuations.
“Be careful not to borrow money as many people own [BTC and ETH] Because these are speculative … rent for your home, rent for your car, but don’t rent for crypto. But I never discourage you from buying cryptocurrencies.
