Web3 infrastructure provider Ankr is certified as a remote procedure call provider for the Ethereum Layer-2 scaling solution Optimism.
The alliance has named Ankr as an RPC provider that enables a variety of applications to interact with 17 blockchains, including Ethereum, BNB chains, Solana and Avalanche.
Running the RPC node infrastructure helps grow Optimism’s public RPC resources. With this resource, a large investment in hardware and technical proficiency are often seen as a barrier to getting started. Ankr’s API solution needs to accelerate the implementation timeline while providing optimism users with timely and accurate data.
Ankr’s infrastructure gives developers access to dozens of major blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, Polygon and Polkadot without having to look at complex technical details.
“We love what Optimism is building for the future of Ethereum. Ankr is pleased to play our role in providing users with fast and reliable RPC services. “Greg Gopman, Chief Marketing Officer of Ankr, said.
Ankr provides Web3 users with a platform to deploy nodes on the Proof of Stake (PoS) blockchain, stake out PoS tokens, and access DeFi applications. ANKR Coin, Ankr’s native cryptocurrency, acts as a platform-wide payment method. The Ankr protocol is said to process approximately 6 billion blockchain requests per day on over 50 networks.
Matthew Slipper, Head of Engineering at OP Labs, said: “We are pleased to offer Ankr as an additional Optimism RPC provider in response to requests from our community.”
Optimism is a Layer 2 scaling solution compatible with Ethereum virtual machines. This protocol uses rollup technology to scale the Ethereum blockchain and increase throughput. As with any scaling solution, the goal of the platform is to address the issues of the Ethereum network. That means faster transactions and lower gas costs.
This partnership with Ankr also addresses dApp developers looking for additional Optimism RPC endpoints. You can now access Optimism Public and Premium RPC, make request calls, and query on-chain information that reflects the results of running a self-hosted Optimism full node.
