Santa Fe, New Mexico – A new lawsuit said Wednesday that actor Alec Baldwin’s gun created a dangerous situation in a movie set that killed the cinematographer by putting live ammunition in a box that should contain only dummy rounds. Blame the supplier.
The proceedings were filed in the New Mexico District Court by Hannah Gutierrez Reed, an armor who, along with two colleagues, oversaw relevant training on firearms, ammunition, and “last” sets. A “rusty” rehearsal on a ranch outside Santa Fe in northern New Mexico.
The Sheriff’s Office in Santa Fe County, which is leading the investigation into the cause of death, said it was premature to decide whether to be prosecuted. Investigators described “some complacency” about how the weapons were treated in the set.
A lawsuit from Gutierrez Reed accuses ammunition supplier Seth Kenny and his company PDQ Arm & Prop of introducing a live round into a set where only blanks and dummies should have existed. ..

“The introduction of live rounds into the set was something no one expected, and combined with the hasty and chaotic atmosphere, created the perfect storm for a safety incident,” the proceedings said.
I couldn’t ask Kenny for comment. He previously said he was confident that his company did not send a live round to the “Rust” set.
The proceedings will add new details to the “Rust” gun and ammunition CoC set on October 21, and the revolver will be loaded and passed to Baldwin.
Baldwin said he didn’t know it contained a live round when he fired when his gun was aimed at Hutchins. Investigators are searching the Albuquerque site of PDQ Arm & Prop in December to find out where the live round came from.
The new proceedings seek damages in a jury trial regarding unfair trading practices, the introduction of dangerous products, and allegations of misrepresentation and misrepresentation.

Authorities said they found “seven suspicious live ammunition distributed in ammunition boxes, ammunition carts, and bandoliers” on the set.
The proceedings also accuse Kenny of investing in an investigation and attempting to involve Gutierrez Reed.
Authorities have recovered hundreds of ammunition in the “Rust” movie set. This is a combination of blanks, dummy ammunition, and what looks like live ammunition.
Authorities have issued a search warrant for Baldwin’s phone, seeking text messages, images, videos, calls, or other information related to movies.
