The inbox on Christmas Eve tries to bother NFT madness as readers have hot tips about Bayonetta amiibos.
To participate in the discussion yourself, please send an email gamecentral@metro.co.uk
Note: With the exception of tomorrow’s hot topics, this is the last inbox in 2021 and regular service will resume on Wednesday, January 5th. Until then, please continue to receive emails. I will use them next year. Also, keep an eye out for new content every day during Christmas and New Year, starting with the Top 20 of 2021 today. Happy Christmas and New Year, everyone!
Merry Christmas One and All
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your efforts this year. This year has also been a difficult year, so thank you. We also hope that our readers will have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I love Metroidvania and Metroidvania style games, and I really enjoy Hausmarck’s stuff, so I’ve been receiving your return advice a few weeks ago. I haven’t had a chance to play yet, but I’m looking forward to it.
The question I’d like to ask was a few weeks ago in your inbox saying that you’re going to deal with the Switch Online N64 situation in terms of performance and more. I think I’ve been busy lately, but I was wondering. What if you’re still used to it? I haven’t taken the plunge into the upgrade yet, I’m definitely going to do it, but I’m not going to do it before it’s stable and okay. Thank you again. I look forward to working with you in 2022.

GC: thank you. I didn’t have time to check the expansion pack again due to the large number of games, but I plan to check it early next month.
All-in-one
For readers who have purchased consoles of all current generations and prefer streaming subscriptions. Well, it’s already here for the Xbox. If you have a good internet, it’s now a fully viable option. If you already have a Switch and PlayStation 5, why buy an Xbox Series X when you can play Xbox exclusive games on your Xbox One, phone, tablet, or laptop cloud? So I’d rather want a console, but what the reader wants is available and I know people who only stream.
Also, Sony has its own service and it works well, but in most cases there is no one-day service.
I live in the countryside and ADSL was too late so I’m stuck using 4G. However, if the planets are aligned correctly and the router is connected to a “good” cell tower, the game can be streamed perfectly successfully. This is great for games with a ridiculous number of installs.
EvilMoomin
GC: He said he needed all three streaming services. This means that you can switch between them, much like a TV streaming service on the same device.
Christmas bargain
A quick update for Switch owners: Saints Row 4: Re-Elected will be available for £ 2.44 (down £ 35) until December 30th. This is a discount of over 90%!
If you’ve never played a Saints Row game like me before, you can definitely steal at this price. I’ve only been playing for a few hours so far, but I love this bomber more than this crazy action-adventure!
Time Magazine also announced that Metroid Dread is the game of the year. I didn’t think they did this, but it’s still great to see this great game get more praise.
Finally, Merry Christmas to all the GCs and the contributors to these pages.

Beyond the explanation
I’m out of the NFT loop. It will continue to be displayed in text, so could you briefly explain it? I googled it, but it comes up with multiple explanations.
Thank you for everything, not just this year, but over the years. I’m from the teletext era when everything started. We wish you a wonderful Christmas and a safe 2022 for everyone.
Two macs
GC: This is still the best explanation we have seen:
Good fight
Please help me here at a very basic level. I am 46 years old I mainly enjoy the single player experience without playing multiplayer games. I’m not interested in cosmetic upgrades and I’m happy to be able to grind and level up with hard work and threads.
How does NFT affect me, if any? Will I still be able to roam happily in my little world, or will they be something I need to worry about?
James
GC: Just because a problem doesn’t directly affect you doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be fought. NFTs are horrifying at the environmental and moral level, and publishers spending time trying to trick those who are easily affected to pay the odds of “rare” DLC are initially unaffected. Maybe, but as soon as the NFT is successful, we’ll start dictating the types of games that will be created and how they will be sold and monetized.
Not classic
Needless to say, 2021 will not be a great year for games, and it seems that we will be feeling the pandemic influence over the years to come when it comes to game development.
The other day, I received a “Year in Review” from Nintendo, but I was shocked to say that I played only two new Switch games in 2021. One was Civilization 6, which I owned at least a year ago, and the other was Metroid Dread. I was planning to get Mario Golf, but at some point in 2022 I might get Mario Party Superstars, but it was postponed due to poor reviews.
Nintendo was clearly struggling this year with a lack of games and the unfortunate decision to use the N64 game’s expansion path instead of the virtual console, but Metroid Dread was a very pleasant surprise.
I also have a Game Pass on my PC, and I’m probably taking full advantage of it to justify my monthly subscription. Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 aren’t attractive because I’m not very interested in first-person shooters and racing games, but I’ve added Psychonauts 2 to the list to play and enjoy access to EA Play. is.
I don’t feel any urge to buy (try to) PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X. I wonder when it will change and when it will change. The main games I’m looking forward to in 2022 are Elden Ring and Zelda: Breath Of The Wild 2. Therefore, I don’t think it will be upset in 2022.
Anyway, thanks to GC for their work during the next tough year. You can read your content at any time. Enjoy a break suitable for Christmas and New Year.

GC: thank you.
The day to go
Merry Christmas, GC, and all readers! I thought I’d be in my last inbox this year, so I have nothing more to say thank you. I’m really looking forward to playing Returnal and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart on my new PlayStation. Saturday 5.
I can guess which one I will share with my family first, but I’m really looking forward to Returnal. And Astro’s playroom, I keep forgetting that it’s pre-installed. Christmas, ho!

Opportunity for change
Assuming you have a Christmas Eve inbox … there are a few things … I hope it will be your last chance to say something here before your vacation. When reading GameCentral (phone or tablet) using a mobile device, I noticed that I had a bad habit on the screen, allowing expression and suddenly moving a few paragraphs up and down from where I was. It’s like the Grand Duke of York. He was awake when he was awake, and well, he was lying down when he was awake. Did anyone else notice it?
It makes me sad that Sir Peter Molyneux (he is a knight of the kingdom, do you remember?) Followed such a rough road. The NFT Gold Rush has all the markings on the bubble that is about to burst brilliantly. But in the meantime, Molyneux has been successful with it, which only encourages worse behaviour. Speaking of roughness, Ubisoft is desperately trying to bow. I hope it’s all blown away in a few months, as it usually happens to them.
Really, GC, do you think they’re going to run away with it? Do you know the legal or industrial measures being taken against them and the accused? Ideally, Eve Gilmo and his entire family would be just quiet partners away from their managerial positions. I know the Guillemot family is the owner, so it’s out of the question for them to go completely – but how likely are Ubisoft employees to put pressure on Yves?
Don’t end up with such a sour note, in addition to obvious choices such as Super Mario 64’s Cool, Cool Mountain, and Sonic 3D Blast’s MegaDrive version of Diamond Dust. What other great festive songs can you find out during your vacation?
Everyone, Merry Christmas, please marinated safely!
DMR
GC: Molyneux is not a knight, he only has an OBE. Although he was awarded the Order of Arts and Culture by the French. By the way, as far as everyone knows, there weren’t many complaints about Giremot personally within the company. However, if Activision Blizzard is forced to make major changes, it is quite possible that it will have a knock-on effect. In particular, once unionization takes hold, developers around the world will begin to demand it. Well … Merry Christmas!
Inbox too-Run
A simple message telling you that one of the Bayonetta amiibos is in stock at the Nintendo store.

GC: Thank you very much. If you have seen anything else there, please let us know.
Merry Christmas GC and all readers! It’s another bad year for the world, another great year for the GC, and keeps in mind the constant flow of terrible news.
Frankie
GC: Merry Christmas One and All!
