Georgia Project Auction Russian Land NFT, Immediately Offering Kremlin
Leavingstone, Georgia’s digital creative agency, has participated in an effort to raise funds for Ukraine, which has defended Russia’s war of aggression for eight weeks. The company is currently selling non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that represent part of Russia’s territory.
At the beginning of three planned phases of the “Russia for Sale” initiative, Leavingstone will auction 2,443 regions of the Russian Federation depicted on playing cards with names, sizes, and “strangely real coats of arms”. Interactive maps provide parcels to potential buyers, 34 have already been sold and more than $ 19,000 of ether has been accumulated so far.
“We saw great potential in it,” Leavingstone co-founder Levan Lefsveridze told Radio Free Europe’s George Dynasty service. “Most people will want to be involved in Russia’s division,” he added, vandalizing Russian President Vladimir Putin and his government, threatening to punish all calls to violate Russia’s territorial integrity. Added in a clear attempt.
In the next phase of the sale, Georgian distributors will provide the Kremlin, the Ostankino TV Tower in Moscow, the Winter Palace and Houses in Putin, an estimated $ 1 billion in assets, and NFTs for Russian landmarks such as bunker. “If you are interested in the post-Soviet aesthetics of Khrushchyovka architecture, you will love it,” the organizers tease investors.
The third sale they promise will be huge. “We will auction Lenin himself. Yeah. Grandpa, the red revolutionary stuffed animal, will be on sale!” The project website pledges. The operator emphasizes that all proceeds will go to support Ukraine.
The main beneficiary is Kyiv’s Ministry of Digital Transformation, and all collected funds will be transferred to that wallet. Among other responsibilities, this division has been responsible for the defense of Ukraine in cyberspace, another battlefield in the conflict with Russia.
Ukrainian government agencies and volunteer groups have received tens of millions of dollars worth of cryptocurrency donations since Moscow launched a military attack early on February 24th. This money will be used to fund Ukraine’s defense efforts and solve growing humanitarian problems.
Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine occurred eight years after Russia annexed Crimea and supported pro-Russian separatists in the Donbus region. Georgia has its own problems with the same neighbor. Russia supported Abkhazia’s separatists in 1992, after which it prevented the Georgian government from regaining the territory of another separatist republic, South Osetia.
