The CEO of San Francisco-based payments firm Ripple shares his cryptographic expertise with the Prime Minister of Georgia.
Georgia Prime Minister Iraqi Garibashibiri at the 2022 World Economic Forum event met Discuss blockchain technology and regulations with Brad Garlinghouse of Ripple.
“A great discussion with Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse! We shared Georgia’s vision for the future of blockchain and regulation.
With a business-centric environment and an innovative approach, we aim to evolve as a technology and innovation hub. We shared the story of Georgia as the first country to introduce blockchain into public services. “
Ripple’s Twitter account retweeted the post and added that it was an honor to meet foreign officials.

On the side of Prime Minister Garibashibiri was Deputy Prime Minister Levan Davitashibiri. The conference was held in Davos, Switzerland, the organizer of the 2022 World Economic Forum.
According to local reports, Georgia’s Prime Minister also offered to Ripple’s CEO during the meeting.
“The Prime Minister proposed to Ripple’s CEO to open a corporate services center in Georgia, saying that Georgia has a good investment climate and the country is in a stable location.”
Stateside, Garlinghouse, and Ripple have been involved in a lawsuit filed by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) alleging that Ripple Labs issued XRP as an unregistered security.
