What if you get a fashion icon and combine his passion for space? Get Space One Industries, a year-old company founded by former Joe Boxer CEO Nick Graham, an astronaut designer such as Buzz Aldrin.
“I’ve always worked a lot with NASA. I started SpaceOne and put all these ideas under one roof,” said Nick Graham, CEO of SpaceOne. “I know a lot about how to make and design things. The efficiency of what we can do is technically pretty good. We can source anything from all over the world. Most of the design and graphics are drawn by me. So we are lean, mean and efficient. “
SpaceOne creates non-fungible tokens (NFTs) shared by space enthusiasts, creates both Metaverse and real-world fashion, all linked to augmented reality opportunities. Graham took the company to the world of NFTs. This is a unique cryptographic token that exists on the blockchain and cannot be duplicated.
SpaceOne’s MetaMissionOne (MM1) created an NFT from the International Space Station (ISS) in April. Part of the proceeds was donated to the Planetary Society, a member-supported non-profit organization that promotes space exploration led by scientist Bill Nighy.
“NFTs are exploding because they are a one-on-one explosion of digital art that we couldn’t claim before. There are no experts in the industry. One of the great things about NFTs is It’s about creating a community of people who are interested in the same thing. The idea for MetaMission One is to create opportunities in the Metaverse, “Graham said.

We’ve been doing it forever with digitized music and have found a way to monetize it, “he added. “But only recently have we been able to find a way to monetize digital art, which has created a much more dynamic market within about a year than the so-called fine arts market.”

NFTs value value and can be bought and sold many times, but Graham’s goal is primarily to create a community and get people interested in space.
“That’s why I love getting involved in the Planetary Society. They’re looking for new members, so this is a way for them to take advantage of the new demographics,” he added.
SpaceOne Industries is a privately held company with 12 employees and has a global presence.
Graham is always excited about space and has a wealth of experience, but he is always looking to the future.
“I love the vision of space and I love technology,” he said. “I like the dynamics that are happening in space in the process of transitioning from a government-sponsored platform to the dramatic commercialization of industry in terms of space travel and building a planet-wide space industry … everything. A kind of modern mode of transportation is ours. A kind of perspective for designing with SpaceOne. Brands are fashion and technology. “
Graham said that the more we look to space in the future, the more important it is to take into account the use of resources between the Earth and the stars.
“All the fashions and products we make are recycled and can be recycled again, so wherever you go, you need to be very efficient to melt and make new ones. So there are many combinations of incorporating my background and applying it to the future, “he explained.
“The biggest challenge for the space industry over the next five years is to have a workforce that is trying to sustain it,” Graham said.
