Trevor Jones is preparing for the party.
A Canadian Scottish artist is hosting a super-exclusive explosion for his highly successful NFT owner. Bitcoin angel, This weekend in Stirling, Scotland. And as a sign of the scale he gained through the digital art market, he rented out the entire castle and secured the musical style of the popular Dutch DJ Don Diablo. Holidays His success.
Originally a traditional painter (or “tradition” in today’s terminology), Jones was fascinated by art and technology and entered the realm of digital art. By integrating AR elements, near field communication tags, and other digital elements into his work, his paintings focus on the themes surrounding cryptocurrencies.
Jones removed the Genesis NFT in 2019, but the Stirling Castle party is for the open edition NFT Hodler (the “owner” crypto slang) based on his paintings. Bitcoin angel (2021) broke the sales record when it generated about $ 3.2 million in just seven minutes earlier this year.Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s Ecstasy of St. Theresia (1652), it depicts an angel sailing with an arrow in the heart of a saint against the backdrop of a gold Bitcoin token.
He caught up with the artist from his home in Scotland prior to an exclusive event on the content of his personal art collection and how he was rethinking his display to incorporate NFTs.

What was your first purchase (and how much did you pay for it)?
The first thing I bought was a large Encaustic painting by Emily Ponsonby. It’s a very dark scene of the Haiti street market she visited. I think I paid £ 1,400 for it. I just graduated from college and it was a lot of money at the time, but it was a really great work and I thought I had to do it the moment I saw it. Another great thing about this painting is that in the sunny summer, which is rarely seen in Scotland, the room gets hot and smells of beeswax when you’re nearby.
What did you buy recently?
My recent purchase was titled NFT and Physical Package Huizilo Pochitri By the very talented Dutch artist Daniel Martin. Physical painting was part of a great collaborative project involving four artists who worked together at a residence in Mexico.Interestingly, they named the project Ugly peyote.. Of course, I’m a big fan of art and technology collaboration. Ugly peyote Fully loaded, including the AR component of Huizilo PochitriSo I can scan the picture and engage in the NFT animations I own.
Which works or artists would you like to add to your collection this year?
This week we’re launching a podcast called Art Angels. This podcast will interview up-and-coming artists in the NFT scene and introduce them to three top art collectors. Then bid on the artist’s latest work. I’m trying to outperform some of these big collectors and pick up the work of the artists I’m interviewing.

What is the most expensive work of art you own?
Not the most expensive piece I own, but an NFT La Peste Blue According to my best friend, the deceased’s great Alotta Money (AKA Philippe) is by far the most valuable work of art in my collection. I paid it $ 8,888. This is an animated piece, typical of Arotta’s surreal, meaningless and destructive style that intrigues, entertains, laughs out loud, and at the same time keeps scratching his head. Alotta is a genius and is deeply missed by the entire crypto * art community.
Where do you buy art most often?
Currently, I buy almost all art from various NFT platforms such as SuperRare, MakersPlace, NiftyGateway and OpenSea. As we tend to support more traditional artists entering this new digital space, we may receive original paintings and prints as gifts or as part of our NFT purchases. But my wife and I plan to move to a slightly warmer place within next or two years, so more physical art will be needed for a larger home. Digital screen for displaying NFT.
Are there any works that you regret buying?
There are some, but I don’t want to go into the details.

What kind of work is hanging on the sofa? How is your bathroom?
I have a great print, Autumn summer Barbara Rae and Daniel, one of Scotland’s most beloved painters and printmakers Huizilopochitri, And an exceptional print of the title Balance II By dark digital artist Billellis. This artwork also comes with the 1/1 NFT I purchased. There is no art in the bathroom.
What is the most unrealistic work of art you own?
Many may argue that my entire NFT digital collection isn’t practical in that I can’t hang a jpg or MP4 file on the wall and admire it, but I disagree. Not only are more companies manufacturing NFT display screens of all sizes, but you can also showcase all your digital artwork in Metaverse’s custom-built virtual reality gallery. Viewing artwork using a VR headset in the most spectacular and gravity-defying gallery space is a considerable experience.
What kind of work did you want to buy when you had the opportunity?
Undoubtedly, 1/1 NFT artwork by pioneer crypto artist XCOPY.
