Jana Novikova has a mission to solve complex problems before they actually become problems. For seven years at Ripple, Yana tackled every challenge with the determination to use her wealth of experience and industry knowledge to clarify complexity.
She began her career as one of the first product managers to work on the technical protocol layer at Ripple, leading an on-demand liquidity team and more recently serving as product manager for Ripple X.
Her accents give others a glimpse of her background, but she’s more interested in looking ahead, especially when it comes to predicting customer needs.
“We need to understand the industry, what is important to our customers and when it is important,” Yana explains. “I don’t want to wait for customers to request it. Before they come to you, you already want to get the product for them.”
She continues to apply this type of thinking as both her role in Ripple and each customer, from the enterprise to the developers of XRP Ledger, evolve. She is good at bringing together a global cross-functional team to bring customer feedback to the forefront of product development.
Jana — literally — is always moving forward. She goes on a run to think of her latest work puzzles, and on weekends climbs San Francisco hills for views of the bay. Her willingness to overcome her work-related obstacles has manifested itself in physical energy, reflecting the rapid pace of the crypto industry and her successful career journey.
Jana has done everything, and she firmly believes in taking the time to celebrate her victory. She traveled around the world and lived and worked in Singapore for part of 2019.
